Cyto UV Mapping Process

The UV Mapping Process has completed now for Cyto.

Here are the checkered pattern pictures.

The UV’s were done by using Pelt mapping, and the unwrap UVW modifier in 3DS Max.

Once all the UV’s were mapped, as the model had symmetry applied, I had to collapse and apply the symmetry, and then redid the head and body, and pelvis UV’s, using the same technique, so that the seams did not run along the front, although this won’t be a huge problem with mudbox, it will still present a problem, if the game engine can not support local tangent vectors, to use for normal maps… As they will look really ugly at the seams.
