The tank model was created using 3DS Max, and all textures were created from colors and patterns in photoshop from scratch.
The tank was created using box modeling, and various tools and modifiers including : Bevel (extrude), Bridging, Connecting, Welding and various others.
The tank treads were made using Path Deform (World Space Modifier) , and are capable of rotating along the tread path.
The turrets were created using the Lathe modifier and the model itself is not a single mesh, but multiple hierarchical meshes, linked together, turrets are also capable of rotating about the Y axis.
Another image from the tank project, this scene was created using terrain textures and a height map, and then placing various quads and spreading them using the 3DS Max displacement modifier for the grass.
